Congratulations!

Whether you’ve just started to think about your church wedding, or are well into the planning, we’d love to welcome you and your guests to one of our four ancient churches as you prepare for your special day.

You are welcome to come and visit our four churches, to talk through the options and share your dreams for your big day. In a church wedding, some things are the same for everyone; they have been for generations. By having your wedding in a church you have the chance to continue what might be generations of family tradition. You might be the first in your family to have a church wedding; you could lay the foundations for a new family tradition.

Celebrating your marriage in a church is a unique way to honour your commitment to each other in sight of God; a ceremony in a church offers a sacred encounter in which you affirm your love to each other. You might have been to church every week of your life, you might have never set foot in a church before; you are welcome here. We like photographers and confetti. Children and young people are welcome and we’re happy to keep things traditional or work with whatever crazy idea you might have – just ask and we’ll do all we can to make your day unique.

If you live in the parish, or are on the electoral roll of our parish you can be married in any of our churches. If you live outside the parish, or are not on the electoral roll it may still be possible to hold your wedding in one of our churches; please do get in touch to find out more. Fill in the contact form or call us on 01624 822469.

In the mean time have a look at the Church of England’s Wedding website www.yourchurchwedding.org for more ideas.
