We believe that all people are on a faith journey.
Some people are a long way into their journey of faith;
some are just beginning.
Services of Thanksgiving (or Dedication), Christening and Baptism are significant steps in that individual faith journey.
The Parish of Malew and Santan would love to welcome you and be part of your journey of discovery as you set out in faith.
A Service of Thanksgiving (or Dedication)
This is time to gather with friends and family, to celebrate new life and take one of the early steps in a personal journey. It often comes soon after the birth of child and offers space to give thanks to God, whilst allowing your child the opportunity to discover faith for themselves and be baptised at a later date.
During a Christening Service for a child, your child will be baptised.
Baptism is a significant moment in the journey of faith.
This is the time when faith is professed and affirmed.
Services of Baptism are often held for babies and young children in our churches.
Increasingly people are choosing to delay baptism allowing each individual to explore issues of faith and belief and then make the promises and commitment for themselves.
